Series 175 of record group 58-17 consists of a map (ca. 1859-1869), originally collected by the Michigan Lands Division, documenting part of the Ionia, Houghton Lake and Mackinaw State Road from Section 120 to Terminus (Straits of Mackinac) in Crawford, Otsego, Emmet and Cheboygan counties. The map shows some natural features such as trees, lakes, rivers, etc. The road was authorized by Public Act 117 of 1859 and Public Act 240 of 1859. The map is 15" x 120" (rolled) in size, with no scale given.
